Please note that our email address has changed to craftstravaganza@gmail.com. We are no longer accepting vendors for this year's event, but we are seeking volunteers for the day of the show. We look forward to hearing from you!
Andy says: "One day in the not-too-distant past I stumbled across the website for Portland's Handmade Bazaar. Reading about their fair reminded me of the temple flea markets in Japan and open-air bazaars of Mexico. I thought it was a shame that we had no similar event in my area. Later on I discovered that like-minded individuals in neighboring Minneapolis had just hosted the first No Coast Craft-o-Rama. Unfortunately, I found out about it too late to attend, but they set the precedent for an indie craft fair in the Twin Cities. Their event was such an overwhelming success that I decided to host my own event in St. Paul this summer. And thus, the Craftstravaganza was born!
"I have a degree in Entrepreneurship, and I've just been waiting for an opportunity to use it. Together with my wife, Jenna, I manage the business side of Craftstravaganza planning. I also wrote the code for and maintain the website, so if something is wrong on here then it's my fault. In the past I've done Sumi-e painting, comics, and stuffed animal creation. Recently, I've been writing fiction and learning to knit. I also serve as the Treasurer at the Sibley Bike Depot in downtown St. Paul. My real job is just something I do in between riding my bike and planning the Craftstravaganza!"
Jenna says: "I have been creating art stuffs ever since I can remember. Lucky for me I grew up with very creative parents who, at an early age taught me about creativity. My mom taught me how to sew as soon as I was able to cut fabric with a scissors, and my dad taught me how to paint prettily with spray paints. I have a Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Photography and am putting both those degrees to use at my current job as a graphic designer for a film & camera manufacturer. In my spare time I like to play with our pug, Lola, paint (I've moved from spray paint to acrylics), knit, sew, take photos, make cards, do "fun" design that isn't work-related, and pretty much anything else that lets me be creative."
