Frequently Asked Questions

The deadline to apply for the 2008 Craftstravaganza has passed. We are no longer accepting applications for vendors. Thank you to all who applied.

How do you pronounce Craftstravaganza?
Our most frequently asked question. Remember, it's an "extravaganza" of crafts. Say it with me: "craft-strav-uh-gan-zuh!"

Can I be a vendor in the 2008 show?
No. There is no open space available for the 2008 Craftstravaganza. Every year, we get way more applications than we have space available. The show was filled during our open application process, and only those who applied at that time are allowed on our wait list. If you want to be a part of the Craftstravaganza, we encourage you to watch this space for announcements and apply for our next event in 2009.

Where is the event?
Just like last year, we'll be at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, in the Fine Arts Building. Street parking is free, and free lots are located west of Cooper Street and north of the Fine Arts building. Disabled parking is available on the west side of Cosgrove. Here's a map of the fairgrounds that shows the free parking lots. Click here for a Google Map marking the location of the fairgrounds.

When is the event?
The day of the show is Saturday, April 26. We will be open for shopping from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Is admission free?
YES. Admission is free! Also, we will be handing out free swag bags to the first 100 or so shoppers on the morning of the show.

Can I sell food or drinks?
No. This is a State Fair rule. You are not allowed to sell, or give away, consumables. Yes, this includes candy, and bottled water.

Can I bring food or drinks for myself?
Yes, please pack a lunch and some (non-alcoholic) beverages. But only share it with your friends and family.

Are pets allowed?
No, the State Fair does not allow pets in the building (except for service animals). Animals must be left outside.
